Functional Flow™ Condition we address

Brain Fog

Investigative care for mental cloudiness, poor concentration, and memory decline — assessing mold toxicity, Candida, methylation issues, gut-brain inflammation, and nutrient depletion.

Brain Fog — functional medicine telehealth care

What we look at

Brain fog is a symptom, not a diagnosis. It often sits at the intersection of several drivers: mycotoxin exposure, yeast overgrowth, methylation inefficiency, gut inflammation, blood-sugar instability, low iron or B vitamins, and poor sleep. We map all of these so the plan targets the real causes rather than a stimulant or shortcut.

Signs patients describe

  • Difficulty concentrating or finding words
  • Mental fatigue that worsens after meals or in damp buildings
  • Memory lapses, reduced reading comprehension, or slow processing
  • Symptoms paired with gut issues, anxiety, or poor sleep
  • History of mold exposure, antibiotic courses, or high stress

Testing we may order

  • Urinary mycotoxin panel and environmental exposure review
  • Stool yeast and microbiome mapping for Candida and dysbiosis
  • MTHFR, homocysteine, B12, folate, B6, and organic acid markers
  • Gut-brain inflammation markers and intestinal permeability
  • Glucose/insulin dynamics, ferritin, thyroid panel, cortisol rhythm

Our approach

  • Remove or reduce triggers: mold, yeast, reactive foods, blood-sugar swings
  • Restore methylation and nutrient cofactors in active forms
  • Repair gut barrier and calm neuroinflammation
  • Drainage and binders for mycotoxin clearance when indicated
  • Sleep, stress, and movement protocols as clinical foundations

This page is general education, not medical advice, and does not create a patient-clinician relationship. Functional Flow™ works alongside your existing care; we never ask you to stop a prescription. Testing availability varies by state and country.
